Account: your email, display name and store handle; your phone number only if you choose to verify it.
Content you post: listings, photos, public comments, reviews, reports and appeals.
Messages you exchange with other users inside Mawjoud, and offers made in chat.
Ad activity: bookings, your ad balance and its ledger, and transfer references you enter for a top-up.
Usage: listing views, searches, saves and similar events, used for seller reports and to improve search.
Why we use it
We use personal data to run the marketplace, keep it safe and meet our legal obligations.
To show your listings and let buyers and sellers reach each other.
To detect fraud, moderate content and handle reports and appeals.
To sell and deliver ad products and keep an accurate ledger of the ad balance.
To send service messages such as sign-in links and notifications about your account.
Some checks and suggestions use automated tools; a decision that holds your content can always be appealed to a person.
What others can see
Listings, public comments, your display name and your store page are public. The rest is not.
Your phone number and email are not shown on listing pages.
Call and WhatsApp requests go through Mawjoud rather than exposing your number.
Messages are visible to the people in the conversation, and to Mawjoud staff when needed for a report or a safety review.
We do not sell personal data.
Service providers and storage
We use trusted providers for hosting, the database, email delivery and, where enabled, automated text and image assistance. They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes.
Some providers may store or process data outside Saudi Arabia; we apply the safeguards the PDPL requires for such transfers.
We keep data while the account is open. After «إغلاق الحساب» (“Close account”) in Settings, personal details are kept for 1 year. Deleting or anonymising them after that year needs a scheduled purge, and that job is not running. The ad-balance record is not part of that purge.
We protect data with access controls and encryption in transit; no system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.
Your rights under the PDPL
You have rights over your personal data. To use any of them, open a support ticket from the help centre; we answer within the period the law sets.
To know what we collect and why (this notice).
To access your data and to get a copy of it.
To correct or complete it.
To ask for it to be deleted when it is no longer needed.
To withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
To complain to the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your data was mishandled.
Cookies and children
We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language, and analytics to understand how the site is used.
Mawjoud is not intended for people under 18.
